KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever are 10 days from kicking off the new season, but they are only five days into practice. There is an urgency to get everything prepared for the opener at home against the Everett Raptors. The Fever say they are working hard to get back into full-swing.
"We've got to get on the same page. We've got to get used to each other. The quarterbacks try to figure out each receiver that they haven't worked with before. But we're already game-planning for Everett. You know, we put our game plan first day. We're going to start watching film on them this week," head coach Adam Shackleford said.
"When you're out of season, you know, everybody gets that itch to put the pads on and get back on the field. So you know, we're patiently waiting and trying to learn quick so that we can get ready for this first game," linebacker Brandon Wilson added.
