Local organization trying to raise money for wishes
YAKIMA, Wash.-- The local organization "Children's Wishes and Dreams" is having their biggest fundraiser of the year this weekend.
The group grants wishes for kids in our area with life altering conditions.
They've been around for six years and have granted 120 wishes, and because it's an all volunteer program, they depend of fundraiser's like this one to keep it going.
"Each one of our wishes is extremely touching and so special and it just makes us realize why we do it. Cause every wish makes a child smile, and that's what we say, we do it for the smiles," said founder Heidi Anderson.
The dinner and auction are on Saturday. It's $35 to attend and doors open at 5:30pm at the Selah Civic Center.
