YAKIMA, Wa.- A 14-year-old boy was killed when he was hit by a car Friday night. The accident happened at 34th Avenue and Ahtanum Road near Union Gap just before 6pm. Washington State Patrol says Brandon Harmon was crossing Ahtanum when he was hit by a car driven by 22-year-old Christopher Correa. Harmon was taken to Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead. State Patrol says drugs and alcohol did not play a role in the accident. The driver of the vehicle is not facing charges at this time.
