Six people are sent to the hospital after a DUI accident
RICHLAND, Wash. -
Six people are sent to the hospital after a DUI accident. State troopers say around 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning 23 year old Christopher Lundy of Kennewick was driving on State Route 240 near Duportail Street in Richland when he hit the back of a van.
Both cars went off the highway and the van rolled. Six people were sent to the hospital including the driver who was hit, 46 year old Lateef Al-Salehi was transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center along with the passengers 42 year old Yusraa Aziz and 4 children. Troopers say one child suffered facial fractures.
Christopher Lundy was uninjured and booked in Benton County jail for vehicular assault. State troopers do believe drugs or alcohol were involved. The accident is still under investigation.
