Posted: Updated:

STEVENS PASS, Wash. - A memorial ski will be held Wednesday in Leavenworth for three men killed in an avalanche near Stevens Pass over the weekend.

Chris Rudolph, marketing director at Stevens Pass, professional freestyle skiing judge Jim Jack and expert skier John Brenan were killed when they were swept 1,500 feet down a canyon near the out-of-bounds area known as Seventh Heaven. A fourth skier caught up in the slide was saved by a safety device.

Wednesday's memorial at the Leavenworth Ski Hill will begin around 6:00 p.m., with guests gathering at the Ski Hill Lodge. They plan to orchestrate a ski run down the hill around 6:45 p.m., and ask guests to bring a headlamp.
