Olympia, Wash. - 8th District lawmakers heard an earful from their constituents Thursday night during a telephone town hall meeting.
Senator Jerome Delvin and Representatives Larry Haler and Brad Klippert spent an hour answering questions from concerned citizens who listened in on the conference call.
Education and health care were popular topics, and so was the state's budget.
"We are still fighting for some reforms. The reforms we did a year ago are already paying off. We want a sustainable and accountable budget that moves forward, that doesn't waste taxpayer money, that makes good use of those, and allows our economy to grow and get back in the game quicker," said Sen. Jerome Delvin, R-8th District.
Delvin added that they're hoping to get the budget work completed soon, so they can avoid a special session. The 2012 legislative session is scheduled to end on March 8th.
