Rivershore Master Plan Revealed

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. --The Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau met Friday to reveal what's next in their Rivershore master plan.

Rivershore is a committee in charge of enhancing the areas surrounding the rivers in the Tri-Cities. The master plan includes making signs easier to understand, developing smart phone tours that highlight local culture, and designing and constructing a pedestrian bridge between Kennewick and Pasco.

Kris Watkins, the President of the Tri-Cities Visitor and Convention Bureau said, "This master plan is a great addition to our existing plan and it's basically taking that plan and continuing our Rivershore master plan from where we left off."

The last Rivershore master plan went into effect in 1997. It included lighting the cable bridge, creating the playground of dreams, and paving the Sacajawea Heritage Trail.
