KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Home builders say they expect to see a boost in construction within the next few weeks. It's mainly because the spring and summer months typically mean good business.
More than 13,000 people went to the Home and Garden show at the TRAC in Pasco this weekend. There was an array of products for remodeling and building their homes.
Renee Dahlgren from the Home Builders Association Tri-Cities told us about how the event reminds people about growing construction in our area.
"It's a great reminder to folks of how great the area is in the Tri-Cities in terms of building and developing. We do have new home builders out here selling their homes and their materials," said Dahlgren.
Attendees got a discount off their ticket if they brought canned food to be donated to the Salvation Army. Last year six thousand pounds of canned food were donated and they hope to get even more this year.
