RICHLAND, Wash.-- Firefighters were outside of Albertsons in Richland today raising money for their 21st annual Scott Firefighter Stair Climb.
One firefighter will be on the stairs climbing sixty-nine floors in sixty pound equipment. All the money raised will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Richland firefighter, Patrick Noland, told us that people have been very receptive to their fundraising.
"We have a lot of people that come up and say you know my brother, my sister has leukemia, lymphoma. And so everybody's been really nice and really willing to support us so it's been a great day so far," said Noland.
Yesterday they raised just over 6-hundred dollars in Kennewick. They want to beat their goal of two thousand dollars.
