Leap Year Babies get gifts

Posted: Updated:

New born babies got some special birthday gifts at Kennewick General Hospital Wednesday.

Members of KGH auxiliary gave them "leap frog" gift baskets, in honor of Leap Day.

The baskets were filled with stuffed animals, blankets, and other baby necessities.

The volunteers say it's the least they could do for babies born on such a unique date.

"They only have a birthday, a real birthday, every four years. So somehow, and i'm sure the parents know how to, we do something special to celebrate them," says KGH Auxiliary Member Lois Mix

The KGH auxiliary spent the last month putting the gift baskets together.
