WHITE PASS, Wash.-- White Pass Ski Area is gearing up for its 26th annual Winter Carnival this weekend.
The event raises money for the Children's Miracle Network through carnival games and the "Ski for Kids" program. They'll also have a fireworks show, winter sport competitions, and the traditional snow castle. It takes volunteers nearly two weeks to build it, but they say it's worth the effort.
"The real joy is seeing the kids on the castle on Saturday morning... That was what has made me come back year after year," says Volunteer Dave Ruby.
The Winter Carnival takes place on March 3 and 4. The games are open from 10:30 to 3:00 every day, and you can sign your children up for "Ski for Kids" starting at 8:30.
