Americans' Holland signs entry-level contract with Montreal Canadiens

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Patrick Holland will follow Brendan Shinnimin to the NHL. Wednesday Holland signed an entry-level contract with the Montreal Canadiens. It is a three-year deal. In 2010 the Calgary Flames drafted Holland in the seventh round. Then Montrael traded for Holland, Rene Bourque and a 2013 second-round draft pick in the deal that sent Michael Cammalleri, karri Ramo and a 2012 fifth-round draft pick deal. This season Holland has the most assists in the WHL.
