MONTESANO, Wash. – KING-5 in Seattle reports a sheriff's deputy was shot and a judge was attacked at the Grays Harbor County Courthouse Friday afternoon. Montesano Fire Department dispatcher said one person was being taken to the hospital. The condition of the deputy and judge were not released. The Washington State Patrol identifies the suspect as Michael Thomas and he is believed to be armed with a black handgun. A spokesperson did not give his height or age, but Thomas has short, sandy brown hair. He was wearing black slacks and a blue button-down shirt. He may have had a briefcase. Grays Harbor Undersheriff Rick Scott said it's not believed the suspect was scheduled to be in court.
