Grandview police are seeking second-degree murder charges against the 28-year-old suspect accused of killing 25-year-old Maria Santos.
GRANDVIEW, Wash.-- A homicide in Grandview leaves three children without a mother.
Police got a call about a domestic disturbance in the Grandview Square Apartments just before 12:30 Friday morning. When officers arrived they found 25-year-old Corina Santos dead. Police found a vehicle they were looking for abandoned east of Mabton on Euclid Road.
They later found a 28-year-old suspect in Sunnyside and took him into custody. Santos' family says the man is her ex-boyfriend, and the father of her youngest daughter. They say the one-year-old was in the apartment last night. Santos' mother, Carmen Rodriguez tells us she still can't believe her daughter is gone.
"I guess what's… hurting me a lot more right now is just watching my granddaughter that... She's only one year old and she just keeps pointing over there and pointing over there and obviously she recognizes where her home is at," says Rodriguez.
Santos also has two sons from a previous relationship. They were staying with a member of the father's family last night. Police are still investigating.
