KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-Cities Fever improved to 3-0 with a 64-50 win over the Colorado Ice Saturday night.
Down 17-6 in the second quarter, Houston Lillard connected with Dennis Kennedy for a 16 yard touchdown pass that made it 17-13. Tri-Cities then took the lead when Lillard hit Steven Whitehead with a two yard touchdown pass. The Fever led the rest of the game.
Houston Lillard completed 23 of 33 passes for 184 yards and five touchdowns. Lillard also ran for three touchdowns. Kennedy and Whitehead each caught two touchdown passes.
The Fever has next weekend off, and the team returns to the field Thursday, March 22nd in Everett. The Fever beat the Raptors in week one.
