Students protest against drugs

Posted: Updated:

If you drove by Park Middle School in Kennewick Monday morning, you may have wondered what students were protesting against.

Many students held up signs, picketing against drugs.

It's all to kick off there "Hands Off Drugs Week".

The students we talked to say they already know a lot about the dangers of drugs, and hope to spread awareness in the community.

"Because there's a lot more important things in the world than drugs. Like families, your job, and your reputation your want to keep," says 8th Grader Chase Silguero.

"The whole big point of today is to get people in cars driving by or kids walking across the street to get inspired not to do drugs," says 8th Grader James VanHoorelveke.

Kennewick Police were there to show their support for the students, and the effort to advertise against drugs.
