Local student wins national science award

A local student is a winner in one of the nation's oldest and most prestigious pre-college science and math competitions.

Hanford High School Senior Andrey Sushko came in second at the Intel Science Talent Search in Washington D.C.

He developed a miniature motor. It operates using the surface tension of water.

Sushko will get a 75 thousand dollar scholarship for his work.
