Oregon GOP cancels presidential debate

Posted: Updated:

PORTLAND, Ore. - Oregon Republicans have cancelled a GOP presidential candidate debate because they couldn't get enough candidates to participate.

The debate was supposed happened Monday in Portland.

Earlier this week an aid to Mitt Romney said the candidate wouldn't attend because he wants to be in Illinois for the primary there on Tuesday.

Oregon GOP chairman Allen Alley says the candidates have become less interested in debates as they focus on winning delegates in individual states.
