Columbia Basin College hosting Nuclear Technology Open House

Posted: Updated:

Leaders at Columbia Basin College are inviting the public to their Nuclear Technology Open House & Career Fair.

It will be held Monday, March 19th in the Center for Career and Technical Education starting at 5:30 p.m.

Local nuclear industry professionals will be on hand to discuss employment and internship opportunities while current CBC Nuclear Technology students will present their industry projects.

A short program will begin at 5:45 p.m. with a Nuclear Technology program information session followed by a panel discussion.

Tours of the new CCTE, including hands-on nuclear-related activities, and a career fair will follow.

Applications for entrance into the fall 2012 Nuclear Technology program are currently being accepted through April 9, 2012.

Organizers say this is an opportunity for prospective students to learn about the program as well as the industry.

All are invited.  High school students are encouraged to register online at www.columbiabasin.edu/ntopenhouse to receive a free goodie bag.
