Americans win division and conference with 4-1 win over Everett
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Friday night was a good night for the Tri-City Americans. With their 4-1 home win over Everett, the Ams clinched the top seed in the Western Conference, and won the U.S. Division.
The game got off to a slow start. Jordan Messier scored his 18th goal of the season in the second period to break a scoreless tie. After Everett tied it up in the third period, the Ams scored three goals in the final frame. Zach Yuen scored his 12th goal of the year. Adam Hughesman scored the final two goals and now has 50 on the season.
Tri-City wraps up the regular season Saturday with a home game against the Spokane Chiefs.
