RICHLAND, Wash.-- Hundreds of people came out Saturday morning for the third annual Run for Ribbons event at Howard Amon Park in Richland.
It's a 5k and 1mile run/walk community event put on by the Tri-Cities Cancer Center to raise awareness and promote prevention of all forms of cancers. Ovarian cancer survivor Codi Lehman was joined by friends to show support for the cause.
"I'm glad to be a survivor. I'm glad to be supporting all the survivors and the people that are out there struggling and I'm very thankful that my friends are here to support me," said Lehman.
All of the funds raised by the event will stay locally.
