Americans drop regular season finale to Chiefs, 3-2

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-City Americans four game winning streak over the Spokane Chiefs is over. Tied 2-2 in the third period, Chiefs' center Dylan Walchuk scored on a power play at the 8:31 mark that proved to be the game winner.

Tri-City never led in the game. Down 1-0 in the first period, Patrick Holland scored his 25th goal of the season. Down 2-1 in the second period, Jesse Mychan scored his tenth goal of the season after Justin Feser's shot ricocheted off Chiefs' goalie Mac Engel.

Ty Rimmer had 22 saves in a losing effort. Tri-City finishes the regular season with 104 points. Friday night the Ams clinched their fourth U.S. Division in five years and the Western Conference after defeating Everett 4-1.
