PASCO, Wash. -- Columbia Basin College hosted its Nuclear Technology Open House & Career Fair at the Center for Career and Technical Education (CCTE) Monday evening.
Local nuclear industry professionals talked about employment and internship opportunities while current CBC Nuclear Technology students presented their industry projects, followed by a career fair. Companies like PNNL, Energy Northwest, CH2MHill were there as well, looking for future talent.
"We have contracts with several of the sub-contractors out at the Hanford site, and so we're here recruiting interns for their summer internship positions," says Shawna Edinger, with ANR Group Inc, a Richland staffing company.
Applications for entrance into the fall 2012 Nuclear Technology program are currently being accepted through April 9, 2012. This is an opportunity for prospective students to learn about the program as well as the industry.
