PASCO, Wash. -- Tuesday Tri-Cities Fever wide receiver Tre Young practiced for the first time after re-signing with the team on Monday.
The team will decide by Wednesday night if Young will play in Thursday's game at Everett. The wideout was cut by the AFL's Jacksonville Sharks last week. Young spent time on injured reserve battling turf toe. He is thrilled to be back with the Fever and back in Tri-Cities.
"You know it's pretty exciting to be back here in Tri-Cities. I'm getting the chance to play for Coach Shack one more time, and I had a blast playing for Coach Shack and Miss Teri. It's good to be back," said Young, who caught 20 touchdowns for the Fever last season.
"Having Tre back allows us to stretch the field a lot more. Tre you know, Tre has the experience from last year and knows the playbook. So it brings another arena guy in here, and it just makes things a lot easier for us," fellow wideout Steven Whitehead said.
