SELAH, Wash. -- A Selah man was able to walk away after his airplane crash landed into a field, Saturday afternoon.

The FAA tells KNDO the 1920's Curtiss Wright airplane had a broken landing gear.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. on the 900 block of Sheep Company Road.

Kerri Huffines says she mowing the lawn outside her home, when she saw the plane crash land into a nearby field.

Huffines says she spoke to the pilot and that he was not hurt.
