PASCO, Wash.-- Columbia Basin College is hosting a viewing event for Sunday night's solar eclipse.
The Moore Observatory on the Pasco CBC campus will be showing visitors how to safely view the eclipse through their telescope. People aren't supposed to directly look at tonight's eclipse because it can be very damaging to your eyes. Frank Murray from CBC, says they'll assist people to view the special event safely.
"The group that we have here is going to be able to show people how to properly view a solar eclipse without damaging the eyes. We'll have optical viewers and special telescopes for that purpose," says Murray.
CBC anticipates up to five hundred people to attend the viewing event.
