PASCO, Wash.-- A seven-year-old Pasco girl had her wish come true Sunday with a brand new play set.
Make A Wish gave a girl named Veena, who has severe seizures, a backyard play set. She says she was very surprised and excited to have fun on the swings.
A Spokane play sets company gave the structure at a discount and the community pitched in fifteen hundred dollars for the remaining costs. Her father, Steve Valdez, says they're very grateful.
"She doesn't get the chance to go to the park very much. Around other people she doesn't do really well. This is a great chance for her to have her own private little playground so it's definitely a wish come true for her and for us to get to see her have so much fun," says Valdez.
Retreads Hot Rod group of Tri-Cities prepared the foundation for the play set and put it all together.
