Yakima man extradited from Mexico faces murder charges

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A 22-year-old man has been extradited from Mexico in connection with the 2008 murder of a Yakima woman.

Jose A. Ayala was extradited from Mexico by U.S. Marshal's on Thursday and handed over to Yakima police detectives, according a release by the Yakima Police Department.

Ayala has been in custody, awaiting extradition in Mexico since November 2011. He was wanted by authorities in connection to the October 22, 2008 homicide of 18-year-old Yesenia Haro.

Detectives say Haro was found shot to death in her home at the Sunshine Factory Apartment Complex.
