MOXEE, Wash. -- Two people were arrested Friday after police say they gave drugs to their kids.
After Moxee Police officers took a 15-year-old runaway into protective custody, they learned the teen and another 13-year-old kid had been given methamphetamine and marijuana by their guardians.
Police obtained a search warrant on the home and arrested the 30-year-old male and 34-year-old female guardians.
Officers seized methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia from the couple's home.
The two teens and another juvenile were taken into protective custody and released to the care of the DSHS Child Protective Services, according to a release by the Moxee Police Department.
Police are not releasing the names of the suspects. Both were booked into the Yakima County Jail and face several felony charges.
The case has been sent to the Yakima County Prosecutor's Office. Police are requesting charges of Child Endangerment and Possession of Methamphetamine and Marijuana charges.
