Tri-Cities Fever lose heartbreak to Sioux Falls, 73-72

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- In a game that featured 145 points, 37 penalties, and 626 yards of offense, the Sioux Falls Storm defeated the Tri-Cities Fever (10-2) in an overtime classic, 73-72 at the Toyota Center.

The Storm led 45-41 at halftime. The Fever was down 66-54 late in the fourth quarter, before Dennis Kennedy scored two rushing touchdowns to tie the game at 66. The game went into overtime, and the Fever scored first on Kennedy's fifth touchdown of the game. However, kicker Michael Taylor missed his sixth extra point of the game.

The Storm capitalized. Quarterback Chris Dixon tied the game at 72 on a rushing touchdown, and then Storm kicker Parker Douglass kicked the game winning extra point.

The Fever hits the road next Saturday to take on the Colorado Ice.
