United Way announces funding

KENNEWICK, Wash.- Leaders of United Way of Benton and Franklin Counties say the organization is distributing a grand total of $3,514,351 to not-for-profit organizations for its July 1, 2012 to June 30, 2013 funding period.

Twenty-three local funded service providers and 40 programs will receive a total of $1,302,583 from the Community Solutions fund.

 These 23 agencies will also receive an additional $432,317 through donor designations. An additional $1,187,731 will be distributed to other local not-for-profits.

$591,720 will be used by United Way for the community services it provides.

The total distribution to community programs and services from the 2011-2012 campaign is $3,514,351.
