Police make pot bust during traffic enforcement

HERMISTON, Ore.- The Hermiston Police Department made a big bust while conducting a DUII emphasis.   

Officers initiated a traffic stop at approximately 2:20 AM on Saturday on a white Toyota 4 runner driven by 38 year old Carlos J. Orozco.

The traffic stop took place near the area of W Elm Ave and NW 11th Street.  Orozco was taken into custody for suspicion of DUII.

Police say approximately 2 pounds of marijuana along with cash and packaging material was located inside the vehicle. 

Orozco was charged with DUII, Unlawful Manufacturing of Marijuana, Unlawful Delivery of Marijuana, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.  Orozco was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail in Pendleton.
