Still no suspects on who removed Chief Kamiakin statue
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- NBC Right Now has new details on the Chief Kamiakin statue taken off the school's platform and dumped in the school parking lot Sunday.
Kennewick Crime Prevention Specialist Mike Blatman says it appears someone unbolted the $9,000 statue from it's platform and tried to load into a vehicle but wasn't able to.
Blatman says other acts of vandalism happened at the high school, including graffiti on platform and Totempole in the court yard. The words written in spray paint indicate the vandalism was done by someone at Kennewick High School.
Blatman says the baseball dugout was also flooded with several feet of water. Police say they showed the surveillance video to staff at Kennewick High School, but no one was able to identify the people or (person) responsible.
