PASCO, Wash.- A Pasco man faces up to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to a charge of burglary with sexual motivation.
Moments before the first witness was to take the stand in his trial, Eluterio Morfin Camacho changed his mind and accepted the prosecutor's plea offer.
Prosecutors say Camacho broke into his neighbor's home in December and tried to rape the woman living there.
A typical burglary conviction holds a prison term of around three years, but because of the sexual nature of the crime, the Department of Corrections could keep Camacho in prison for up to ten years.
Camacho's brother is also in county jail, charged with child molestation. Neftali Camacho's trial is currently on hold while he undergoes a mental competency evaluation.
