RICHLAND, Wash. - The Tri-City Youth Choir is holding auditions for "forte!" the Tri-Cities' elite show choir on Saturday.

The show choir says they strive for musical excellence and implement high standards of vocal technique and expression. The group is audition-only for high school students grades 9 to 12, with a repertoire that includes choreographed dance from a wide variety of genres.

Auditions are being held at the Tri-City Academy of Ballet and Music in Richland on Saturday, June 2nd. When you schedule your audition, you'll sign up for a two hour time slot, where you will sing and dance.  The dance portion will be in a group of 8 people learning a short dance piece. For the vocal portion, prepare a song in any genre (pop, Broadway, sacred, etc), preferably a cappella or to an instrumental-only track (CD or iPod.) There will be a piano provided, but you must bring your own accompanist if you want live music. Other instruments are not allowed for the auditions.

To schedule your audition, call Billie, at 509-947-4429, or send an email to
