Tri-Cities Fever ready for streaking Colorado Ice

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Saturday the Tri-Cities Fever get back on the road. They play the Colorado Ice. These two teams met three times last season, and all three games came down to the final play. Week three of this season was another classic as the Fever won 64-50. After a tough start to Colorado's season, it's back on track, winning four of its last five games.

"I think the second half of the season, they might be the most improved team in the league. They're running the ball well. They've got great athletes. They're well coached. They've got a lot of experience on that roster who's doing a good job for them. It's going to be a tough game," Fever head coach Adam Shackleford said.

"Colorado and that defense fly around. They're big on hitting and making plays, a fun group of guys to play against. So it's going to be a hard-fought battle. I think we're going to have the advantage mentally and just match their physicalness, and we'll be fine. I think we're the better team. We've got to go out and play at the high level we played at last week," Fever quarterback Houston Lillard added.
