KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Thousands came out to the Wheels for Wishes Corvette car show at Columbia Park in Kennewick Saturday.
The McCurley Integrity Auto Dealerships put on the event that benefited the Make-A-Wish foundation. Donations were raised through car sales at the dealership and from a silent auction at the show.
Make-A-Wish representative, Leslie Woodfill, says events like the car show are an important way to spread the word about the foundation locally.
"It's invaluable to be able to have people understand. One, that we're here. Two, that we want to find the kids who qualify for a wish," says Woodfill.
All the money raised for the event, stays in the Tri-Cities area for local wishes. The annual fundraiser raised over twenty-five thousand dollars this year.
