Pair of Southridge Suns reunite with Walla Walla Sweets

WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- The Walla Walla Sweets have plenty of local talent on the team. Southridge alumni Spencer O'Neil and Tyler Roberts are getting the chance to reunite.

O'Neil is the West Coast League's player of the week. Roberts is two years older than O'Neil and plays college ball at Campbellsville in Kentucky. The two former Suns enjoy getting the chance to play with each other this season.

"Yea the familiarity is nice to walk in the clubhouse the first day and see someone you've played baseball with before and you know you're kind of familiar in that sense. I mean there's guys on the team that I've played with before," Roberts said.

"It was great walking through the door and first person I saw was T-Rob so that was nice you know. That's what these Summer teams are all about, bringing kids that connect and can mesh together. So knowing somebody on the team prior to coming out is always nice," O"Neil added.
