KENNEWICK, Wash.-- The Richland Cathedral of Joy church provided home makeovers for families in need Saturday.
Seven families across the Tri-Cities got home repairs. Fixes ranged from paint jobs to new windows and flooring. One Kennewick family of five got bedroom makeovers for their children. Eastgate Elementary School and Grace Clinic recommended the families for the project.
Volunteer, Marilyn French, says it's everyone is glad to help.
"It's a blessing to be able to come out and help people. It's a great feeling and that's what our church is all about, is giving back or being a part of a community."
Over seventy volunteers participated in the second annual event. The work is funded by the church, local businesses and volunteers.
