KENNEWICK, Wash.-- The Academy of Children's Theatre, known as ACT, held their 14th annual Secret Garden Tour Saturday and Sunday.
The tour is a fundraiser for ACT. The event included six gardens. Three were in Kennewick and three in Richland. They estimate over five hundred people came out for the tour over the two day event.
The executive director of the program, Paris Rodgers, says the popularity of the event means a lot to the theater.
"It means we get to keep a roof over our heads. It means the community supports SCT and it means we're mandated here in the community. And we offer a product the community thinks is useful," says Rodgers.
The Academy of Children's Theatre anticipates raising about ten thousand dollars from the tour this year.
