Washington - If you're looking for dinner plans for Thursday night you may want to head to Applebee's.
Local law enforcement from Kennewick, Richland, Pasco, Walla Walla and Union Gap will be helping out at the Applebee's in their respective cities for the annual "Tip-A-Cop" event.
Police Officers and Sheriff's Deputies will be accepting donations and donating tips to benefit Special Olympics Washington, as part of the Law Enforcement Torch Run Campaign.
Officer Rick Cane of the Richland Police Department said,"what we're looking forward to doing is we'll be serving drinks to people, helping the waiters with the orders, doing some busing of tables and then of course telling them why we're there, and the main goal is to assist the Special Olympics of Washington.
Last year the event raised about $6000, but organizers are hoping to up that amount even more this year.
