YAKIMA, Wash. -- Dozens of people came out to the annual Yakima Firefighters Fair held at the training facility Saturday.
Kids and adults got a chance to check out fire trucks, take a ride up on the ladder truck and see live fire demonstrations.
Firefighters say this is a great way for the public to see first-hand what they do.
"And to give live demonstrations, so that they can see exactly the fundamentals that we have to learn and the things that we go through. The opportunities that are out there, for not only us but them," explained Captain Brandon Dorenbush, with the Yakima Fire Department.
This is the second year for the event.
YFD plans to have another fair day event next year.
