Take your workout outside to add variety and keep you motivated
KENNEWICK, Wash.- Leaders at Broadmoor Fitness at Hansen Park say skipping the gym every now and then isn't necessarily a bad thing!
They say taking the workout outdoors is a great way to add variety to your routine.
Personal trainers say it can fun and keep you motivated.
It also can be good for your mental health to be out in the sun and getting fresh air.
"It also adds a little creativity in that there are several things you can use to help you with your workout that you normally wouldn't think of. Like a bench or straight bar or monkey bars. Jungle gyms are also helpful to adults," says Personal Trainer Shayne Smith.
Smith says inventing your own workout routines will exercise your mind and body.
