RICHLAND, Wash.- A children's salon in Richland called Monkey Dooz gave out 300 canvases Wednesday.

It's for the Monkey Dooz 2012 Art Show, and the Richland Public Library's summer reading program.

The theme for the 3rd annual event is DREAM BIG!

Children 18 years of age and younger are invited to show their creativity.

The works of art will be hung in the library.

"In the background there's going to be the moon, Pluto, and all the planets and an Astronaut right in the middle," says 9 year old Olivia Walton

"Trucks and like big sky scrapers," says 7 year old Tanner Schuster.

"Come up with ideas and we set a date and and our neighbors come over and we do it together," Says 9 year old Madilynn Carr.

"I don't know why I want it up there, just for fun maybe. People to look at it," says 10 year old Peyton Schuster

All art work must be turned in on a 12 by 12 canvas to the Richland Public Library by August 15th.

It will be on display for the month of September.
