YAKIMA, Wash.-- Tuesday we told you about the new charges filed by Yakima County prosecutors against Sebastian Looney, after a jury found him not guilty on premeditated murder charges.
Looney is accused of killing Gary Snell, Jr during a drug deal in 2010.
Wednesday, the victim's father, Gary Snell, Sr. spoke to us about the new charges and his frustration with the case.
He says the system is not working in favor of his son, instead it's protecting the accused murderer.
"He had several accounts with Gary where he had met Gary. Why this time did he take a gun if he did not plan on robbing him? The system failed us, the judge failed us," said Gary Snell, Sr.
Looney is now facing felony first degree murder and robbery charges.
