KENNEWICK, Wash. -- An accident involving a pick-up truck and a Kennewick school district van tied up traffic for a while this morning.
The accident happened at the intersection of Hood and Neel.
The school van had just stopped at the intersection, when police say the driver of a pick up truck simply wasn't paying attention and drove right through the four-way stop, crashing into the van.
"The pickup truck which is southbound fails to stop, collides with the left rear corner of the van, causing the van to rotate and as it rotated, it's top heavy causing it to roll over on it's side," explained Sergeant Ken Lattin of the Kennewick Police Department.
The driver of the van was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the pick up wasn't arrested, but he was given a ticket.
