YAKIMA, Wash.-- Aaron Briden, 23, of Tacoma was sentenced to life in prison Thursday in a Yakima County court.
Briden was convicted of robbing, raping, and killing Shelly Kinter, 42, of Yakima back in 2009.

The judge hearing the case said this was one of the worst crimes she'd ever seen committed.
Kinter's family was also in court asking for the life sentence.

"We'll finally be able to move on. Closure's a word that I think means you forget, but we'll never forget," said Teri Allen, the victim's sister.

Briden also received over 300 months for separate robbery and rape charges to go along with the life sentence.

He does not have the possibility of parole or release, however he can still appeal the sentence.
