Recent history shows Fever-Ice playoff game will be another great finish

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Four of the last five games between the Tri-Cities Fever and the Colorado Ice ended on the final play. Friday the Fever and Ice meet again in the Intense Conference semifinals. Those close games all came within the last two seasons. These rivals know each other well on the field and in the front office. The Fever want to have those off-season bragging rights by sweeping the Ice, winning all three battles this season.

"I think if anything, they want to come in here and prove that they're as good as we are. This is a big game for recruiting as well. We would love to go into the off-season saying we beat our closest competitor in recruiting three times during the season," Fever head coach Adam Shackleford said.

"It feels good to be, okay we beat this team two times. It would feel a lot different if we lost two times. But now we got it two times. The first game home and then the playoffs. It's good to have a home game here," Fever defensive back Lionell Singleton added.
