OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - Vice President Joe Biden is visiting Washington state for a fundraiser on behalf of Sen. Maria Cantwell. An invite posted on Cantwell's campaign website says Biden will visit on July 9.
Admission to the fundraiser in Seattle costs $50 to $250 per person. Cantwell already has $4.6 million to spend on her re-election, far more than any of the other declared candidates. Republican state Sen. Michael Baumgartner has about $145,000.
The event is sponsored by a joint fundraising organization between Cantwell and the state Democratic party. Democratic gubernatorial candidate Jay Inslee is also scheduled to attend the event.
