KENNEWICK, Wash.-- There was a high speed chase in Kennewick early Sunday morning.
Kennewick Police spotted a suspicious car on E. 10th Avenue around 2:30am this morning. Six males were in the car and wouldn't pull over and a gun was thrown out the window.
State Patrol helped with the chase near Edison and HWY 240 where a suspect bailed from the car but was caught. Sgt. Mike Genack says the Hawthorne Street area is a problem spot.
"The officers in the area investigating the complaint of a suspicious vehicle expected the possibility that it was gang members in the area possibly trying to cause trouble so they were on alert," says Genack.
The other five passengers went east on HWY 240 and were stopped just entering Walla Walla County. All of them were either documented gang members or admitted to being a member.
